Once upon a time we used to say the greatest fears in life were things like losing a loved one, falling ill, war, the inevitability of death. These fears still exist, of course, but quietly, insidiously, a new fear has crept into the foundation of modern life: the fear of not having enough money.
It’s no longer just about thriving — it’s about surviving.
It’s about making rent. Affording groceries. Paying off loans.
It’s about staying afloat in a world where the cost of being alive feels like it’s rising faster than we can keep up.
